What the people of Mityana need
is a helping hand,
not a hand out
This Charity has been working in Mityana, Uganda since 1999, during which time we have developed a variety of projects in conjunction with the local people. Our activities have increased over the years and our involvement is now varied across many worthy causes.
We rely entirely on volunteers and fundraising to support our work. The work of MCDF is managed by unpaid Trustees based in the UK and Uganda.
The purpose of the charity is to work in partnership with the people of Mityana and District in Uganda providing education and resources to promote the Health, Social and Economic development of the Community. This partnership is with all local, regional, national, statutory and voluntary organisations which operate within the boundaries of Mityana town & district.
OUR AIM
... is to benefit of the people of Mityana and elsewhere in Uganda in particular but not limited to the advancement of education and the relief of poverty by supporting the charitable work of Mityana Community Development Foundation (Uganda).
