We have supported teachers at one of the secondary schools in Sekanyonyi sub-county – an hour’s drive north of Mityana.
They received the following support from Mityana Community Development Foundation (MCDF) have proved financial support for:
- Library – teachers use the library regularly to help prepare lessons plans and encourages students to visit it too to further their knowledge.
- ICT suite – access to internet to help plan lessons.
- Beat the Bugs, Stay Healthy – the school has received lessons on hygiene, cleaning their teeth, & healthy living as part of this educational programme provided by MCDF to local schools.
- First Aid Training – provided at the Community Centre managed by MCDF
